Graduates, students and school pupils
In order to encourage dairy research, Lactoprot has become one of the sponsors of an endowed professorship for Dairy and Food Industry Economics at the Christian Albrecht University of Kiel. It also has connections with the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. Besides this, we are open to forms of scientific cooperation relating to the dairy industry.

Opportunities for students
We like to open the door to prospective new employees while they are still at university. So we regularly help with Bachelor and Master dissertations and enable students to work on a diversity of topics with practical relevance. We also offer internships so that students subsequently find it easier to choose a career.
I studied Business Administration at Nordakademie in Elmshorn. I consciously chose a dual study program because it allowed me to gain practical experience in the professional world alongside the theoretical knowledge at the university, and to familiarize myself early on with the processes within a company. Compared to other degree programs, the curriculum at the university is significantly more compact, and while “regular” students have semester breaks, I had to work during that time. However, the direct connection to practice provides a much better understanding of the theoretical content. For example, I was able to apply and deepen my knowledge at Lactoprot in various departments. I also benefited from working with experienced colleagues.

Insights for school pupils
Young people still at school also have regular opportunities of getting a first taste of working life. Whereas many international companies now only offer long internship periods, we make brief insights possible. As a company based in a rural area, we regard this as a social obligation.
