The World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends feeding babies around the globe solely on breast milk for the first six months. But alternatives are important, because there is not always enough breast milk available. Since breast milk contains less protein than cows’ milk, products like lactose, demineralized whey powder and whey protein concentrates are necessary for standardizing baby food.
