Production Leezen
At the Leezen plant, a former dairy was purchased in 2003 and a new milk protein production was established. The range of processing was expanded with the commissioning of a fully automated casein plant, which supplies the Artax Industry Group.
From the excess whey from casein production, valuable raw materials are attained through modern filtration techniques, which can be converted to whey protein concentrate and lactose at the other plants.
In addition, for the production of full cream milk powder, cream powder and crumbs, a special product for the chocolate industry, roller-drying has been implemented.
Products from Leezen are mainly utilized as raw materials for caseinate production and in the food industry, mainly as single ingredients in sports- and infant nutrition, as well as the chocolate industry
